Alpha Pod deploys to Chesapeake Bay

The following is a work of speculative fiction, or FICINT (fiction intelligence).

We have deployed Strikepod Alpha to the Chesapeake Bay.

Alpha, a five-vehicle pod consisting of 1 Rogue, 2 Relays, and 2 Remoras, sailed this morning from a location south of Annapolis, Maryland, on an initial heading of 090, with a mission to identify, track and prosecute any adversary craft lurking in advance of Baltimore Fleet Week, 8-17 October.

At this time we have no specific intelligence indicating the presence of foreign submarines in the Bay, but given the impending arrival of USS Zumwalt for commissioning on 15 October, adversaries could use this opportunity to gather intelligence on the Navy's newest warship.

Alpha will remain on station in the Chesapeake until 15 October, at which time it may redeploy to escort Zumwalt to Naval Base San Diego.
