At 2144 hours EDT, having identified an imminent, hostile threat to surface assets Zumwalt, Jason Dunham, and Leyte Gulf, Splinter Pod (Alpha) was ordered to engage CLASSIC-3 approximately 400 meters SE of Locust Point, at a depth of 4.75 meters.

At 2146 hours, Remora-3 detonated its explosive payload at a range-to-target of 0.5 meters.

BDA revealed no further passive sonar contact, while active sonar detected three small objects scattered on the seabed.

Splinter Pod (Alpha) ordered to rejoin Alpha Pod to continue prosecution of CLASSIC-4.
