Sitrep: ROBUST PROBE
The following is a work of speculative fiction, or FICINT (fiction intelligence).
Operation ROBUST PROBE continues.
Strikepods Alpha and Beta remain on patrol in the northern and central Bay. Strikepod Gamma will enter on duty later this week to focus on the southern region.
No further contact at this time with CLASSIC-1/Istina-class submarine. We continue to rely on passive sonar, though acoustic conditions appear to have deteriorated due to the volume of surface traffic. Last known contact was 09/15, 0521-EDT, 1250 meters WSW Bloody Point. CLASSIC-1 may be drifting, or parked on the bottom. If not reacquired, we will consider employing active sonar to prosecute and, if necessary, eliminate the threat.
With three Strikepods on station by week's end, we expect to have fully sanitized the Bay prior to the arrival of Fleet Week combatants.
